FAQ'S
These are some of the most common asked questions that I hear, I will try and answer them as best as I can, if you have any additional questions don’t hesitate to call or e-mail.
Q: How is the dental cleaning done?
A: The dental cleaning is done without the use of any anesthesia! I don’t use anything that may harm your pet. It is performed by simply cradling your pet in my lap, using safe and comfortable handling skills. It is not uncommon for a pet to become so relaxed during the cleaning that they fall asleep.
Q: Are all pets able to have their teeth cleaned?
A: No, due to certain health and/or behavioral problems some pets are not cable of having this procedure. In the event of either of these events, I will be more than happy to refer you to a veterinarian.
Q: Some of my dog's teeth are loose. How do you clean their teeth if this happens?
A: It is very common due to prolonged periods without cleaning for the teeth to develop play or movement. This is caused because the gums have receded. I will do my best to clean the loose teeth but because I will not do extractions, they might not be as polished as the none loose teeth. The loose teeth will generally fall out on their own, but if I feel they should be removed, I will recommend you to a vet.
Q: Do you offer house calls?
A: Yes, and I'm more than happy to. Some pets feel more relaxed at home, because of this they feel safer and more secure. Please contact me to schedule a house-call.
Q: How long will it take to clean my dogs teeth?
A: The amount of time it takes varies depending on amount of tarter and plaque buildup, and also the behavior of the pet. It can generally take between 20 to 45min to complete.
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: I accept cash or check; I do not offer the use of credit cards, as I want to keep my price’s as low as possible. I care about the oral health of your pet and want to make this procedure as affordable as possible. Sorry if this cause’s any inconvenience.
